Eversource warned that customers will likely see a spike in their bills this winter compared to last year’s, as natural gas prices surge nationwide.

Eversource reported that 1,730 out of its 1.28 million customers in Connecticut were without power as of 5 p.m. Monday.

Eversource says improving its relationship with Connecticut policymakers and ratepayers is a “top priority” even as it appeals a state-imposed penalty.
