NERC is offering the 128 Southwest Power Pool (SPP) registered entities a chance to comment after assigning them all to a new Regional Entity.

SPP stakeholders narrowly rejected a Tariff change that would have established a 1-MW threshold for reporting behind-the-meter network load.

NERC staff told SPP’s registered entities they have until Oct. 31 to submit their transfer requests to another Regional Entity.

NERC will host a webinar Aug. 25 to help the current members of SPP’s Regional Entity transition to new compliance authorities.

SPP announced it will dissolve its Regional Entity, in part because of the expansion of its RTO footprint, which no longer aligns with the RE’s territory.
