CAISO’s Board of Governors approved the inclusion of the Southwest Intertie Project-North in to the ISO’s 2022-2023 transmission portfolio.

CAISO is moving quickly to gain approval for a proposed transmission line that would allow California to meet targets for tapping Idaho wind resources while helping both states bolster their resource adequacy.

The West needs new transmission near term and far more in the long term for California to meets its goal to provide customers with 100% clean energy.
