FERC rejected a request to include the cost of emissions controls in the peaking plant design for the NYISO New York Control Area capacity demand curve.

About 200 stakeholders and NYISO officials discussed carbon policy, zero-emission credits, and other issues at IPPNY’s 31st Annual Spring Conference.

FERC approved the revised NYISO demand curves but said the ISO must eliminate the assumptions about new peaking plants in the NYCA.
