Northeast States Collaborative on Interregional Transmission
Activists, ISO-NE officials, and state representatives from across New England convened in New London, Conn., to discuss the benefits of offshore wind to the region’s power system.
Ten East Coast states signed a memorandum of understanding to set up a framework to coordinate interregional transmission planning and development.
An early stage collaboration is intended to bring together communities, tribes, nonprofits, companies, RTOs and government officials from the northeastern U.S. and Canada to increase coordination around interregional transmission.
Representatives from states working on the Northeast States Collaborative on Interregional Transmission spoke about the young effort, particularly about offshore wind connections.
