FERC directed staff to begin an investigation of alleged illegal tree-cutting along the New York section of the Constitution Pipeline route.

Constitution Pipeline denied allegations made by the New York attorney general  that it encouraged illegal tree cutting by landowners in defiance of a FERC prohibition.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman demanded that FERC investigate Constitution Pipeline for alleged tree cutting in defiance of a commission order.
