Some of the changes PJM is considering in the wake of September's unexpected heat wave include: more conservative reserve calculations, quicker and more granular demand response deployments and optimizing trades with neighboring regions.

The MIC gave preliminary approval to a new coordinated transaction scheduling (cts) product intended to reduce uneconomic power flows between PJM and NYISO.

The following issues generated little or no discussion among members at the MRC on 8/29/13. The issues will be brought to a vote at the next MRC, 9/26/13.

RTO Insider: PJM Members hit the brakes Wednesday on a proposed new product for coordinated transaction scheduling trades between PJM and the New York ISO.

PJM members will be asked tomorrow to approve a new power scheduling option for transactions into the New York ISO to reduce uneconomic power flows.

PJM said it plans to seek an MIC endorsement in August of the Coordinated Transaction Scheduling (CTS) proposal, designed to improve interchange scheduling efficiency between NYISO and PJM.
